Tesco: Christmas Jumpers


Each year, Christmas creeps up faster. The trees go up in November, the songs hit the airwaves before Advent, and people start rocking their Christmas jumpers well before the first chocolate in the calendar.

So we embraced it, to build awareness and drive engagement for Tesco F&F’s Christmas novelty range in the lead-up to the festive season. We saw an opportunity to tap into this sentimentality and humour, leaning into the idea that some people just want Christmas to start as early as possible.

We developed the concept, “There is a time and place for Christmas Jumpers”, to explore the extreme lengths fans of the season might go to in order to start the festivities.

The results were amazing, with the social ad being picked up across the national press and racking up millions of views. Tesco were also delighted with record sales of Christmas jumpers and the dog novelty items sold out within 24 hours.
