US Open: Rally The Boroughs

The US Open is as much a part of New York as the city itself. But how do you take the excitement of one of the world's biggest tennis tournaments beyond the courts and create something that entertains fans in its own right?

Our answer was Rally the Boroughs, a five-part original YouTube entertainment series that turned New York City into one giant tennis-themed competition.

Three teams of two raced across all five boroughs, armed with just a subway map, a limited budget and a tennis ball they couldn't afford to lose. Along the way, they tackled clues, completed challenges at iconic locations and encountered some familiar faces, all competing for tickets to the US Open finals.

Part reality competition, part New York adventure, the series brought together sport, entertainment and the city's unique culture. Created as part of the US Open's Celebrating our New York Story campaign, it took tennis beyond the tournament grounds and even attracted coverage on New York's NY1 news channel.
